Fresh Fall Morning

 The fresh fall morning cocktail is inspired by this Bath and Body Works fragrance: About the fragrance I purchased this hand soap in 2024. I believe I had previously owned it in a wallflower fragrance plugin, but I am not completely sure. It is currently unavailable online, but hopefully it will be back next fall. The scent notes listed for this fragrance are: Citrus zest Woodland sage Red delicious apples Designing the cocktail I used Sprite for the mixer to represent the citrus note. Any lemon-lime flavored soda or sparkling water would work. I also added Grand Marnier for additional citrus flavor. I used apple vodka for the apple note. For the sage note, I used sage elixir (previously used in Warm Ocean Breeze ) from Floral Elixir Co and added dried sage as a garnish. Fresh sage would work as well. Recipe 1 oz Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur 1 oz apple vodka ½ oz sage syrup 6 oz lemon-lime soda or sparkling water Fresh or dried sage Place two ice cubes in a glas

 The basil leaf and apple cocktail is inspired by this Bath and Body Works fragrance: About the fragrance I purchased this hand soap in 2024. I don't remember whether I had owned anything in this scent before. It is currently unavailable online, but hopefully it will be back next summer or fall. The scent notes listed for this fragrance are: Crisp apple Fresh picked basil Morning dew Designing the cocktail I used club soda as the mixer to represent the dew note. For the apple note, I used apple vodka. For the basil note, I made a basil infused simple syrup following a variation of Mark Bittman's simple syrup recipe in How to Cook Everything Vegetarian . I used fresh basil as a garnish, but dried basil would work as well if fresh basil is unavailable.  The one in a million cocktail is inspired by this Bath and Body Works fragrance: About the fragrance I purchased a wallflower fragrance in this scent for my bathroom in 2019. At the time, I found the floral notes too strong, but I decided to give it another chance upon receiving the shower gel as a birthday present in 2022. It is currently unavailable online, but perhaps it will be back during the semi-annual sale. The scent notes listed for this fragrance are: Jasmine extract Tuberose oil White gardenia Pink pepper Cashmere musk Designing the cocktail I used club soda for the mixer. I used white rum for the musk note. For the jasmine and gardenia notes, I used jasmine elixir and gardenia elixir from Floral Elixir Co, both of which were previously used in Hello Beautiful . I also added dried jasmine blossoms (previously used in Hello Beautiful , Japanese Cherry Blossom , and Coconut Lime Breeze ) from a health food store.
