Fragrance inspired cocktails

 The velvet elderberry cocktail is inspired by this Bath and Body Works fragrance: About the fragrance I purchased this foaming hand soap in 2023. It is currently unavailable online, but it will hopefully be back at some point. The scent notes listed for this fragrance are: Ripe elderberry Raspberries Sweet musk Designing the cocktail I used club soda for the mixer. For the raspberry note, I used Chambord. For the musk note, I used white rum. The elderberry note was the most important one to perfect since it was the note from which the fragrance (and cocktail) got its name. Most commercial elderberry syrups are advertised for medicinal use, so I decided to make my own. I purchased dried elderberries at a local health food store and prepared a syrup by combining them with water, bringing the mixture to a boil, and reducing, following this recipe from Grow Forage Cook Ferment. I also purchased a hand cream in this fragrance. It is currently available online as a shea butter cleansing bar, fine fragrance mist, moisturizing body wash, "glowtion" body butter, exfoliating glow body scrub, eau de parfum, shower gel, body cream, body lotion, diamond shimmer mist, bubble bath, mini perfume spray, hand cream, travel size fine fragrance mist, travel size body cream, and travel size shower gel, but not as a wallflower fragrance plugin.  The twilight rose cocktail is inspired by this Bath and Body Works fragrance :  About the fragrance I purchased this hand soap in 2023. As far as I can recall it was the first time I had purchased anything in this fragrance. It is currently available online as a hand soap. The scent notes listed for this fragrance are: Midnight rose Dewy lemon Wild peony Designing the cocktail I used club soda as the mixer. For the lemon note, I used lemon vodka. For the rose note, I used the same rose syrup that I used for Into The Night , and I also added dried rosebuds from a local health food store. For the peony note, I used dried peony petals from the Etsy shop Herbal Mansion . Recipe 2 oz lemon vodka ½ oz rose syrup 6 oz club soda Rose buds or petals Peony petals Place two ice cubes in a glass. Add lemon vodka and rose syrup. Pour in club soda.
