Raspberry Green Tea

The raspberry green tea cocktail is inspired by this Bath and Body Works fragrance:

About the fragrance

I purchased this hand soap in 2023. It is currently available online as a gentle and clean foaming hand soap and a cleansing gel hand soap.

The scent notes listed for this fragrance are:

Sweet raspberries

Steeped green tea

Squeezed lemon

Designing the cocktail

I used black raspberry Sparkling Ice sparkling water as the mixer. Any raspberry sparkling water or soda would work, but a sweeter option would be preferable as the scent note specifies sweet raspberries. For the green tea note, I made iced tea concentrate with green tea bags (click the link to my mom's blog or visit my Dark Kiss post for more details on how to make iced tea concentrate.) I used lemon vodka for the lemon note.

Recipe

2 oz lemon vodka

1 oz green tea concentrate

6 oz raspberry sparkling water or soda

Place two ice cubes in a glass. Add lemon vodka and green tea concentrate. Pour in raspberry sparkling water or soda. For a non-alcoholic version, omit the lemon vodka and add 1 oz lemon simple syrup.

The finished cocktail

I enjoyed this cocktail. The raspberry, green tea, and lemon notes were all detectable, with none overpowering the others. The taste was almost reminiscent of an AriZona raspberry half tea & half lemonade, although the carbonation gave this cocktail its own unique quality. The raspberry sparkling water gave it a purple color, which made it visually interesting. If a clear raspberry sparkling water or soda were used, it would have a golden color from the green tea concentrate. I would recommend this cocktail to anyone who likes fruit flavors and sweet iced tea.
